Earnings in mylot - can it be sole means of earning?

Yesterday in my post, mylot earnings, one of the respondents, Hanni Harel asked me whether I solely depend on mylot earnings. I was surprised at this question because my belief is that no matter how much you are active on the site, earnings here can not be sufficient to take care of yourself fully. Then the curiosity arose how much maximum an individual may be earning here. Can you share your thoughts on this?

Thanks for the information @owlwings. It is hard to believe that anyone could reach those amounts in a month from mylot.

@msdivkar Well we can slog and try hard, but can't depend here solely for our earnings!

I believe that the most ever paid out to a user in a month was around $45, though that might have been because they hadn't entered their PayPal ID and so was actually for more than one month. One or two people claim to reach $30 a month occasionally and a few manage $20 almost every month. Nobody could ever expect to make a living out of it (even the owner doesn't!).

@owlwings Yes the income here can be an additional one only. But the best part is the free form discussion style and the informality here, which is unique !

No I really don't think it's possible. I think that your earnings are good for some extra pocket money.

Nope I don’t think it is possible. You must just look at it as some extra money and I do think if you are just in it for the cash, you will definitely be let down. Mylot is more for fun and interacting with others and it is just a plus that you get to make a little extra on the side while being here.

Considering the number of months I've been trying to reach the minimum payout I'm gonna go with no. Even when I'm more active than I have been lately I don't earn nearly enough to earn a living off it.

Sometimes new people believe they can earn enough to make a living on the site. She probably wanted to know if that is what you felt. As far as how much you can make, it depends on how active you are. I make enough in a month to pay two small bills that amount to $16 a month. My goal is always $20 so I have enough in my PayPal to cover those two bills. So far, I've made that and more each month.

I don't think it's possible to live off of mylot earnings.
