The plants in the pots are insulin plant. As per my research, they come from India. I have been propagating the plants for the benefit of the diabetic in my circle. i give them a plant so they can eat the leaves every day that will be equivalent to the insulin shot. That's what the proponents say. But I have to admit that I am only propagating the plants and not promoting it because I have no proof of their efficacy.
The diabetics that I had given the plants say it is effective. There were 6 of them as of now.

It is called insulin plant. Serperntina is different although I know of people eating that plant. This insulin plant has sour leaves so it has a flavor of sorts. According to the interview of radio man Julius Babao to a certain Mr. Dizon, the insulin plant stabilizes the blood sugar so you can eat whatever you want.

@Alexandoy Oh that sounds interesting. I hope they do have it available to everyone so they can enjoy the benefits of that plant.

@rsa101 there are herbs and plants that are effective like the sambong against kidney stones and banana for UTI. Effective based on our use. But there are so many herbs and plants that have no approved therapeutic claims, so to speak.

It's their responsibility not mine.

@JudyEv as I said, it is up to them because it is their body. I am just a gardener who plants the insulin plant. When they ask, I give.

@Alexandoy I suppose so but I'd be reminding them to check with their doctor. If they are not getting the correct dosage, it could be fatal to them.

So far those 6 people say the plant is doing them good. But I have yet to find someone who is into insulin shots. Those 6 are just under controlled diet and exercise.
