What do you do with the pictures you take while travelling?

I came back from Greece one and half week ago. It was a worktrip with Erasmus, so everything paid for by the EU. Since it was work, I didn't take as many pictures as usual but I still took quite a few.
So busy afterwards that I haven't done anything with them yet, but now they're downloaded on my computer and I'm starting to wonder (as usual) what to do with them. Spam facebook and instagram? Send in private messages? Possibly post some on the school web-page/facebook group?
What do you do with pictures you take while you're out and about?

Still trying to figure out how to share them without spamming :-)
But every now and then, work interferes. Going to London straight before Christmas = more pictures. Lot more pictures, 'cause I'm visiting a friend who also has a camera and we're going on photo walks.

@crazyhorseladycx Friends with cameras are good friends :-) Especially when they don't point the camera at you, but at something else and we can discuss the light, the camera settings etc afterwards.
And for London I'll have time to check the pictures, as I'm coming home to two weeks off.

We used our digital camera in Asia and when we got back we gave the memory card to a store and asked them to print the photos for us. They look like old fashioned photos and we placed them in our photo album. The photos from Norway (last trip) are still on my laptop. I shared a few here on myLot, and the rest I just keep. I am not very active on facebook or similar sites and I never upload photos on those sites.

@Torunn Yes, I used to do that. I saved tickets, receipts etc and placed them in a photo album. I made one of those albums when I was living in Estonia. I also used some of the drawings I received from the residents in the group home where I worked.

@Porcospino That's nice! Drawings make it more personal.
I still have lots of stuff I could use, I might make some again.

I don't take so many pictures anymore. One or two go up in my stories on Facebook and Instagram and one or two as a post.

@rappeter13 Especially since I have a tendency to take series of pictures of moving objects = a lot of things to sort through

for digital shots I have several files, sub-folders and categories and edits and I can access most images quickly

@arthurchappell I've got 3 external harddrives, and then I used to shoot pictures in RAW. Had a brilliant program to look at them and convert them, can't find it :-/
Getting a new computer over Christmas, hoping to find something good then.

@Torunn I use a dedicated external hard drive just for photos - that helps a lot

You could put them on a flash drive first to keep them just in case.
Yes there is so much you could do..maybe a travel blog of your own?

I take lots of pictures when I go abroad. For sharing, I choose about 3 to 5 photos so it will not be boring for the viewers. The rest will just stay in the archive disk.

@Alexandoy And boring.
But maybe they can't be bothered to pick the best.

I just keep them on my phone and show it to my loved ones... when they’re interested.
