Bought the parrot some almonds

It is that time of year when grocery stores have unshelled nuts available to buy. When I had a macaw I would get the mixed nut bags because he could easily crack open walnuts, chesnuts, etc. My Eclectus is only strong enough to crack into unshelled almonds. I was happy to see the bulk bins of nuts today. I could buy just unshelled almonds for her. She LOVES them and they are a great way to give her a treat but also stimulate her mind. It keeps her busy for quite awhile if I give her a small handful of them. It is like a foraging toy for her. I just put some in her bowl and I hear her crack crack cracking one open. She is a happy bird right now.
