Is it important what others think about you?

One of the conditions for happiness is to get rid of the feeling of what others will think and say. We are not a Christmas bonus to making everyone happy and please them.
A nice person is one who feels beautiful. Let's trust ourselves and nurture an endless love with ourselves - it is the best investment in a happiness fund!

I don't think it matters and it really shouldn't matter what others think of you. I guess we all want to be liked and have other appreciate our thoughts and feelings but really when it comes down to it, it really only matters what we think of ourselves.
I have always lived by the thought that some people are going to like me and some will not. I am not going to change who I am for someone else. They can either like the way I look, the things I do and the way I think or they don't and then I guess I don't need them in my life.

Yes, I completely agree you. We cannot please everyone. And what the sake? We live our lives only for ourselves.

@lillywriter trying to live your life to make others happy will drive you crazy, you can't make all the people happy and still be happy yourself.

@lillywriter I agree but you have to love yourself first in order to love others. It's pretty hard to trust and believe in others when you don't trust and believe in yourself.
