Very Proud

Hello everyone!
I recently teach senior high school, specifically grade 12 students. I’m teaching Entrepreneurship. I can’t believe how smart and innovative my students are.
They conceived their products when they were in grade 11 and the school where I teach harnessed and honed their creativity as if they’re making a real business. They can actually continue their businesses after graduating.
They had a two-week bazaar and most of them are convincing enough to entice you to buy their products. I bought some of them.
This is me being the proud teacher that I should be! Will you be proud if you see someone succeed in life?
Picture is mine!

I think both the student and school admin deserve praise. I hope all schools must do the same.

@mlgen1037 Yeah, and for that many youths will be inspired doing some positive stuff and be away on negative temptations.

@simplfred that’s true. However, schools and teachers should also be dedicated in helping these youths.

Congratulations , Ma'am, your students are doing great. Yay. Way to go, Louise, nothing like knowing you have taught well and your students are succeeding.
Keep it up. More in store for you.

@mlgen1037 Yes, I know, I also prefer being called Miss by my students. But there is a special air of respect when students call mentors Ma'am, as the teacher is put on a pedestal.
My daughter is always addressed as Ma'am and she's pretty young still.
But yes, Miss Louise sure sounds sweet to say.

@eileenleyva thank you, Eileen. Honestly, I’m not used to not saying “po” and “opo” here. I sometimes feel too shy when I’m being called ma’am because I think I don’t deserve it.

@mlgen1037 your students level or she if there's no senior high is equivalent to second or third year college. They're so responsible.

@cacay1 they have to. I still have a student who doesn’t even ask about her performance until I gave her an academic reminder slip.

In elementary we teach our pupils about retail merchandising. We let them manage the school canteen by group and every week they take turn.

@mlgen1037 I was a bit shocked finding out that this kid has been that keen in making money this way. She comes from an Asian background, so I had thought her parents would wish for her to become a doctor or lawyer (the kid is very intelligent). Last time I talked to her, she was firm re: become a business lady and being her own boss.
