DON'T! YOU MAY DIE!

Don't let your dog lick you! A 63-year-old German man died caused by a rare bacteria after his dog licked him, most likely, on the mouth area.
Dogs are lickers! They lick everything. They even lick their sex organs. So, chances are, their mouths, especially their tongues, are haven for bacteria.
Humans are lickers, too (I am no exception); but, unlike dogs, we clean our mouths, tongues included, by brushing, flossing, and gurgling with mouthwash. I brush my teeth three times a day. I floss every other day or every time I feel I need to. I gurgle with Listerine in the morning and at night before going to bed. Rest assured, my tongue is clean to lick (just kidding).
. A friendly advice : Don't let your dog lick you! No pressure though.

When I had my dog, I always washed my hands after having any dealings with him and only allowed him to lick my hands.

One of our neighbors have 2 dogs. I saw the woman letting their dogs licked her all over her face in their backyard during summer! Eww!

@antonbunot I have seen stories of people who lost their limbs because they contracted an infection from their dogs licking. I would never let an animal lick me on the face (not to mention the lips). When they lick my hands I go immediately to wash my hands.

To let your dog lick you?! Fine . . but I suggest avoid letting your dog lick you on the lips - - Your dog may have that rare bacteria that killed the German guy. LOL

@BelleStarr Then your dog had not licked things contaminated with the killer bacteria! Maybe it is only in Germany where that killer bacteria are crawling! It will not take long till they migrate to the USA brought by various illegal immigrants.
