The Day After Thanksgiving and Daily Health Report - Day 18

The normal calorie count for a thanksgiving meal is 4500 per person. That's a lot of food. My son is a bachelor and likes to play video games. His apartment doesn't have a dining room, so he didn't have a table. When he said he would make the dinner I readily agreed to have it at his apartment. He said he would cook. He did. He cooked from scratch the turkey. The rest was preservative-laden of the instant variety. Stovetop Turkey stuffing. Idahoan Instant garlic roasted mashed potatoes. Steamed vegetable medley - broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots, and Heath pie from Perkins restaurant. It was all delicious and very high in sodium except for the steamed vegetables. We ate at the coffee table in the living room, and the food was on the island in the kitchen. The food was good, the turkey was delicious and the pie was mouth-watering. I was stuffed when he took me home last night. So, here are yesterday's totals that I spent this morning burning off in the pool. Calories: 1260 Sugar: 68.5 Carbs: 153 Protein: 27.2 Sodium: 1955 Fat: 58.7 A typical slice of pie is 1/8. I ate half that much, so it cut down a lot on the calories and sugar that it could have been. I'm really happy with yesterday's calories. It could have been a lot worse. How did you do yesterday with your Thanksgiving feast? The picture is the coffee table we ate at.

I think that was so sweet of Edgar, to fix Thanksgiving dinner this year. And from what I observed, he did a beautiful job! Heath pie is my favorite dessert, in the entire world I had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and enjoyed myself immensely! The food was delicious:) Your numbers from Wednesday are right on target

@kobesbuddy Oh, I'm fixing it. I'm buying the turkey on payday. I'm not waiting until the last minute and not be able to get it.

Thank you. They're good today too. Yes, it was great of him making dinner. I told him I would make Christmas dinner. He still wants it at his place. I'm going to talk him into having it here so we can eat at a regular table. I didn't mind the coffee table. I've eaten at many coffee tables in my day, and eat most of my meals at the computer. It's easier to put all the food on the table. Anyway, we'll see what happens. Yes, that pie was delicious.

I just had a cheeseburger for Thanksgiving and the reason is this is the first Thanksgiving I have ever had off but to get here, I worked 45 hours in three days and had to go back in for another 12 the day after. I was too tired to visit family nor did I have time to prepare anything.

I had what I love, spaghetti. Ok, I would have preferred pizza but I don't do chemical laden foods anymore. It was another quiet lazy day for me, all I really did was cook but nothing I cook is labor intensive

I don't mind doing a couple of labor-intensive meals a year. Well, three anyway. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. Spaghetti is a good alternative. A quiet lazy day is a nice day for a holiday.

Wow, the 4500 per person is a very high number for sure! I think you did great though. I had some turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy and 2 rolls. Didn't track the macros though.

I did okay. I filled up a plate and then couldn't eat it all. Nice that your son did the cooking.
