How much money do you need to live a good life?

Hello. These days I think about how much money I need for a living. We all have different wishes and someone spends more money and someone less. In my country, earnings are low. I think I should make 900 euros a month to have everything I want. I would love to travel, move to a quiet place, have enough money for other hobbies and be independent.
If I have a salary of 400 euros, that's a great start. Maybe I could make more money online.

About as much as I'm earning now. Which I chose not to calculate, since I manage to use all of it every month and I don't really want to know how much money I'm spending ...
Norway's always somewhere on the top of the "most expensieve country in the world", I think average salary is about 4600 euros before tax. (depends on the exchange rates of course)

@Moon24 Food here in Norway is expensieve, but not compared to our salaries. Compared to what we earn we have quite cheap food I think.
Not a lot to chose from though. I don't know why, but every other country I've been to have had more to choose from in grocery stores.

This is not to brag but I think I have a good life regardless of the money that I have. For me, good life is contentment.

@msdivkar when I was younger, money is the measurement but now it is not money at all.

Money can buy your needs but not your greed. Whatever money you make that will be sufficient to satisfy your needs but whatever money you make will not be sufficient to satisfy your greed. More you get more you feel are needed. You say your need is 900 euros but manage with just 90 euros elsewhere in the world.

@Moon24 I understand your point Moon. All the luxuries you are dreaming for, I understand, are meant for happiness but do you think you always get happiness after doing that many a times answer would be negative. But if you feel happiness with whatever you have It is real happiness. I don't think you should not dream for big but you should not loose your sleep for want of it.

Food, clothing and shoes are important everywhere. In my country, people earn at least $ 300. In other countries, people earn at least $ 2000. Food, shoes and clothing prices are the same here as in countries with 10 times the salary. If I live with 90 euros, does that mean it's ideal? For now, I can't travel anywhere. Maybe I want to buy quality sneakers instead of low quality sneakers who cost 20 euros. Maybe I need to go to the dentist for one tooth treatment and another tooth for healing again and it costs about 70 Euros. Why i can't go once a year to travel somewhere?

This cannot be calculated dear because we need some social security to feel safe and money is never enough.

in my country everything is so expensive you can't possibly live on what I get a month. With help from friends we are barely managing to survive. I would say if I got 4,000 a month we would live comfortable with what daughter also brings in.

I am trying to practice minimalism and be happy with less. I don't like traveling. I'm comfortable in my bed. I hope your wish gets fulfilled.

It really depends on the person and their needs I guess, those with medical conditions require more for the medical necessities
