Happy December my Friends!

I was out in the rock garden visiting the graves of our precious Doodles and his sister, Kuma, when I had quite a surprise. All of the forsythia bushes had yellow blooms in our below freezing temperatures! A sign from Heaven?
Today and tomorrow we are due to have our very first snow of the season. There is nothing I can do but except it. At least tomorrow’s high temperatures should make it disappear, and it will be a sunny day on Thursday when we fly to Florida for six months.
It will be good to get away from the ugly barrenness, snow, and cold of the season. My circulation is just fine with and without a coat, so without a coat, I’m leaving to dash out for breakfast. Hubs is waiting for me in the car. See you in about an hour!

I still keep a spare coat in the car in case I break down.

@andriaperry I have been checking the weather reports for Florida. On Thursday, when we arrive, it will be 74 as a high. My husband is happy!

Hi Dianne! Will you be cleaning that place? Wow! You're going to Florida. That's great.

@mlgen1037 I really don’t remember that discussion, but my husband helps all the time, especially with vacuuming. I dust and do the kitchen and bathrooms. He washes the floors most of the time. I do have a cleaning lady, but won’t see her until we return from Florida. Perhaps your husband can help you clean, too, especially since you also work.

@DianneN If I'm not mistaken, you had a discussion about that last year. I hope I get to have that quality so that my husband won't bug me. He thinks I don't clean!

I sensed that you guys with winter doesn't like this season very much. I haven't experienced it so imagine the joy I would feel with the first snowflake. Have an awesome December!

We had our first snow on November 1. I hope you are doing better. I think about you all of the time. I can't believe it's almost time for you to leave for Florida. It will definitely be good for you to get away. Hugs.

@LindaOHio That’s my plan. I just ran out to visit the kitties again before the snow begins. I’m still in a state of shock that he is no longer here. I loved that cat more than anything. Orville the osprey better be there for me.

The guy who lives at the entrance of the development has blooming bushes too..Poor confused bushes. I never want to see the grave of my former cat again..I don't plan to ever go back there. I am too afraid of seeing some animal disturbance. You will have a great time in Florida!

That is amazing for this time of year! Even with our snow and ice, they are still yellow and probably frozen for the entire winter. lol I never get to see them bloom anymore.
I don’t blame you. Our kitties are in nailed wooden coffins and buried very deep. They also each have heavy bluestone markers on top. I visit every single day, and will miss it when we go to Florida. However, getting away will do me good.

That is amazing to see the forsythia in bloom especially since they are a spring flower. Perhaps a sign, I would think so.
