The last post I made was right before Sukkot and I even said because my job was less stressful I would be here more often...(famous last words) Shortly after that, I found out my student was moving to another school district and his mom wanted me to follow him. However, I learned there was much more than just applying for another school district. Because this school was in the next county, they couldn't hire me unless I had a 4 year aide permit, I only have a 1 year. When I looked, I found out I can't get a 4 year until I had at least two 1 year and this year's is my second year. That would mean having to pay for another one year permit with this school, something I really didn't want to do because around the same time our line going out from the grinder for our plumbing was backed up and we can't even find a plumber who can take care of it until next week (this was 2 weeks ago, making it 3 weeks until they could do anything). Then my student's mom finds out there is a 60,000 dollar lien on the house she was buying, but they have until Dec 5 to fix that, so I don't know where I will be working the following week. If they end up moving, I have to get another background check and a permit for that school before he starts going. Then fast forward to this last Monday, my husband went to urgent care, he had kidney stones, they sent him home, he went back Tuesday and then they admitted him to the hospital. Yikes, my car (the only one I trust to travel long distance in) was in the shop. So I didn't go to the hospital until Wednesday, after I got my car back and we spent most of Thanksgiving in the hospital. (BTW, hospital Thanksgiving food is super gross. ) So today I am making a small turkey, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, and some sweet potatoes. Then I go back to work tomorrow.

Over a month since you posted this. You must still be very busy. Sounds like a very worrisome time in December. I hope your husband is okay by now.

@Nakitakona Thank you. It turned out that the was a problem with the procedure, he was bleeding internally and had to stay in the hospital until that Sunday. However, they changed how they were doing the surgery and they did it Monday, he is now home recuperating and doing really well.

Thank you, I believe the worse is over. He finally came home from the hospital yesterday and doing a lot better. Unfortunately I guess the lien was taken care of and my student moved just a couple weeks ago. That leaves me without a student and back as a sub. However, I don't want to continue with this school, so I am applying to other schools where I can possibly get a full time position with benefits.
