Hello everyone,
Just wanted to check in to see how everyone is doing. I do check MyLot every single day but haven't been so active lately. Going through that phase of not really wanting to be social. There is a lot going on here which I will probably talk about later on but it's basically family stuff and my depression.
My dad has been going good in regards to his foot. ( sorry if you're reading this and you're not aware of it. Can explain to you if needed ) I had been having very quick glances at his foot to try to get used to it. I finally had a longer look last week. I was trying to avoid it because it makes me sad to see what it looks like now and it's a reminder of that time when he nearly died. But I know the only way to try and get past that, is to look.
The other things going on ( again, will probably explain in better detail later ) that my Nanny and Poppy aren't doing so good. My Poppy is suffering badly with Alzheimer's. Which then stresses my Nanny out. Not just because he is forgetting things. But he is accusing her of things she would never do and keeps thinking things have been said or done when it never even took place.
I just don't want anyone here to think I have abandoned MyLot or the wonderful friends here. I'm sorry for late responses as well as messages I have not replied to here yet. You are not being ignored. Just going through a tough time here which makes me withdraw socially.

@LadyDuck Glad you're both well. Hope you both stay warm. I have a cold at the moment lol during Summer. I normally get them in Summer instead of Winter like a normal person.

I know you would never intentionally leave us without at least saying goodbye! Plus, I know that when I haven't heard from you in a little while it usually means you are going through an anti-social period. I don't like to prod or pry, so I wait patiently for you to return (and you always do). But know that you are always in my thoughts even when you're not actively here!

@VivaLaDani13 I'm doing well. Just getting ready for the holidays. I'm taking my son camping again this coming weekend. We'll be back on the beach again, but this time in a different part of Florida.
It's been a nice start to winter for us here in Florida, as it's been much colder than usual. I thought for sure with global warming that we wouldn't get any cold winters any more, but so far so good this season!

@moffittjc Glad you're doing well! That makes me smile. I hope you and your son had a wonderful time together. I admire how often you and your children go camping and do adventurous things.
We had a very Winter too. In fact the coldness kept going into Spring. But now it's Summer and I'm complaining a lot lol I hate the heat. Been a lot of days with 40 degrees or more. (104°F)
I am doing alright thank you. Just have a cold at the moment which is normal for me having Summer colds. But otherwise quite good. Just trying to get things ready for Christmas.
What will you be doing for Christmas?

I am sorry with what is going on with you. So glad things are good with my father regarding his foot. So does that mean that they will not do anymore surgery on him? I remember something happened to your Nanny? I am so sorry about your POppy. That must be so hard. Does he remember who you all are? Dani, you have to take care of yoursel. How is Charlie doing? Dani you are very sweet. From what you said about your father it sounds like his foot is not good.

@Hannihar Hey Hanni. Thank you for your comment. Yes, things with my dad is going well. It is possible that somewhere down the line he may need more surgery but for now, all is going well.
My Pop does remember us thank goodness but he is forgetting where he leaves things, what he has done or said and what has been said to him and he is hallucinating things.
Charlie is going well thank you kindly. How is Sophie? Hope she is doing good!

@Hannihar Thank you. Yeah forgetting where things are left happens to a lot of people but my Pop isn't just making little mistakes. He is having bad symptoms of Alzheimer's. He is forgetting things in less than a minute, losing things, hallucinating, accusing my Nan of things she isn't doing, and becoming a bit aggressive towards her. So he isn't being himself. Something is not right in his brain.
I am ok thank you but could be way better. Just a lot going on and I now have a cold so not entirely well right now. How are you? Glad Sophie is well.
Nice. I am aware of Hanukkah and that it lasts for 8 days.

I hope he does not need more surgery. I am glad right now things are going good for him. That happens to lots of people in forgetting where they leave things. I am so glad Charlie is doing fine. How are you? Sophie is fine. We are getting ready for our holiday of Hannuka which starts on the 22nd of this month at night and lasts for 8 days. I have something I got that I showed her and it will be fun to play with. I will hopefully go out today and get her another toy that she likes.

I’m sorry about your grandparents.my grandpa is doing fine but my grandma is beginning to show signs of dementia. I hope your dads foot gets better soon. It’s been boring lately and I spend a lot of time asleep, but I probably would anyway.

I'm sorry things are rough and you're pulling away. I'm glad you're giving your father's toe a longer look.
My mother had Alzheimer's and accused my father of infidelity, something he never ever even considered during their long marriage. That disease does strange things to the mind.

@VivaLaDani13 My mother was using two canes when she went into assisted living. They took them away from her and she was then in a wheelchair. Dad started having bruises all over from her hitting him with them.

I'm very sorry about the difficulties that occurred with your poor mum and dad for that matter. That is actually exactly what is going on with my Poppy. He is accusing my Nanny of being in-love with a neighbour which just isn't true. He is becoming aggressive ( not hitting her but I admit I now fear that ) but he is speaking rudely and aggressive to her and recently punched a wall. Not like him. It's sad and stressful for both the person dealing with it and witnessing it.

@birjudanak Thank you very much for your support. Unfortunately, things will not become normal again in regards to my Pop. It will just get worse so I will not be thinking positive about it. I'm not into fairy tales with real life. I'm more realistic. This situation will not become better.

Hey Dani.. we can understand your situation. I'm kind of not so regular to myLot too. But, I miss being here and think of friends over here.
When we have some tuff times offline, we won't have a great mood to interact here. I so agree on this point and that happens to me as well.
