Just to let you know we arrived safely in Florida at 11:00AM today. Our younger son dropped us off at the airport with our new SUV. We want him to drive it while we are away as well as keep it in an extra bay in his 3 car garage.
We’ve seen and heard from so many people and neighbors since we’ve been back. The best was seeing and hearing from Orville the osprey! It’s like we never left.
We just returned from an early dinner and had two surprises. The first is that our car that was shipped from Connecticut yesterday is due to arrive within the hour.
The other good news is that our younger son, who is a partner in a lucrative business, was just offered two jobs by the other two partners who have split up, but each want my son to work for them. He’s deciding whether to take the million dollar+ offer or the humongous raise by the other. His decision to make, not ours, although we offered our opinions. It figures that this would happen the day we leave. We FaceTimed for a long time before we went out to dinner. The good thing is that he can take as long as he wants to make a decision.
So, that’s our first half day in Florida. Hope the next six months are as good.

@TheSojourner Oh, he will, and consider yourself adopted. He will have to incur all expenses however.

@TheSojourner LOL! He refuses to get married again and is in the final stage of his divorce to his cheating liar of a soon to be ex wife. He is in the process off getting her name off his house.
He’s very loving and generous, cleans more than I do, and is into being physically fit. All he needs is a companion to take to the movies, go out for dinner, and talk to. Sounds like you will be a perfect fit!

@DianneN That´s the first thing to do. Even if you leave everything clean, you have to clean it all over again

@marguicha It was all cleaned before we left, but got dusty. I had a lot of fine detail work to do, thanks to ornate furniture.. Yes, cleaning, like laundry, never ends,

@kobesbuddy That’s true. I caught him standing in the water helping himself to some little fishies a few minutes ago. No wonder he looks so fat to me!

@DianneN And aren't you blessed, not having to provide 'Orville' with special care? The ocean provides his sustenance! When you leave for Connecticut, he never goes without

Good to hear you made it there safe. That is great news for your son on the jobs I know he will do the right thing and pick the right job. Will it require him to move?

Thank you. So sorry to respond so late. Settling in and cleaning have taken up so much time.
Neither job will require him moving, although he’s thinking of moving to Boston. He can work there or come to Connecticut if need be for a day every so often.
