Day 123 Promise 172 Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations who forget God. Nobody likes to think of themselves as wicked. Most people believe they will go to heaven when they die. David showed the opposite is true. God sends every wicked person to hell and all those who don’t put their trust in Him. As Christians, you know there isn’t a single righteous person. Everyone is wicked. Does that mean everyone will go to hell? Psalm 14:1 (To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.) The fool hath said in his heart, ‘There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none who does good. 2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any who did understand, and seek God. 3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none who does good, no, not one. Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none who understands, there is none who seeks after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none who does good, no, not one. What is your alternative? You need to recognize you’re a sinner, confess your sin to God, and accept Jesus as your Savior. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (KJV) Romans 5:8 But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (KJV) Romans 10:8 But what says it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed. Being wicked is a choice just as salvation is a choice. When you make the choice to change your wickedness for Christ’s salvation, God will not send you to hell but you will be with Him in heaven for eternity. The choice is yours. God will honor your choice. Let’s pray: Father, I know I’m a sinner. I know I have no right to heaven except through the death of Your Son, Jesus for my salvation. Help me show Jesus to those around me so they too will make the choice for eternal life and not eternal damnation. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Thank you so much for writing this. How many people interrupt Psalm 9:17 is wrong. In Psalm 9:17 hell is not a place where one goes. It is what a person becomes.

It is a place where you go if you do not accept Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord. It's your choice.

@just4him I too accept and anyone can accept Jesus as a personal savior without believing in an actual hell. However, it does make sense that people (spirits) congregate together in one place. But because the spiritual domain is not a physical place like earth having our feet placed firmly to the ground, the idea of a hell place does not sit well with me. True the devil might seek darkness and solitude - somewhere. Though Jesus Christ will always be our guiding light the concept of hell as some religions seem to come across with is in my mind actually disrespectful of God. It is of little wonder that it can cause people who have lost faith in God imagining a punishing, hateful God creating a hell fire place for those who might only be lost. God is neither one of those things. The hell which is created is done by our own self. Thanks for starting this discussion Valerie. May God bless it.

Hell
I have done terrible things in my past and even now and I know I am on my way to hell so I do not see how a good God could forgive me. Can you tell me what I can do to pay for my sins as they are a real burden to me? I have tried praying to God to forgive me of my sins and even promised to stop doing them but afterward, I go back and do the same things that I am ashamed of. I used to attend church but do not feel I am worthy to attend again because while I attended I fall back in my sins and I feel hypocritical to attend church while I sin. Please provide some much-needed guidance to me so I will be able to change my ways and not end up in hell.

When you accept Jesus Christ as your savior and even if you backslid he will always be waiting to accept you back in his kingdom when you repent and return back to his ways and that is a sure way for you to escape hell.
