It's time to look back, as I do every month, and give a farewell to the music and music-related individuals we lost in the previous month. This is in celebration of the gift of music that so many gave us; and, sadly, most of them don't merit "headline news" coverage at their passing. Here are the individuals we lost in November 2019: Bart Walsh (died November 2, gastrointestinal bleeding, age 56): guitarist for rocker David Lee Roth. Michael Sherwood (died November 5, unknown cause, age 60): session keyboardist who co-wrote songs for Toto. His brother Billy Sherwood worked as a bassist in the band Yes. Robert Freeman (died November 7, pneumonia, age 82): graphics designer and photographer whose best-known works include the covers of Beatles albums such as With the Beatles and Rubber Soul. Nik Powell (died November 7, cancer, age 69): co-founder of Virgin Records. Jackie Moore (died November 8, unknown cause, age 73): R&B singer whose biggest hit was "Precious, Precious." Terry O'Neill (died November 16, prostate cancer, age 81): rock and roll photographer who captured countless iconic images of the likes of David Bowie, Elton John, and the Rolling Stones, as well as several actors (e.g., Brigitte Bardot, Faye Dunaway). Doug Lubahn (died November 20, unknown cause, age 71): the studio bassist for the Doors, he also played with numerous other acts including Billy Squier. Iain Sutherland (died November 25, illness, age 71): a member of the Scottish band the Sutherland Brothers, he also wrote songs. His best-known song was "Sailing," by Rod Stewart (not the Christopher Cross song). Irving Burgie (died November 29, natural causes, age 95): SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAMER. Songwriter of such classics as "Banana Boat Song (Day-O)" and "Jamaican Farewell." Farewell, and thank you for the music. "People Are Strange" by the Doors, featuring the late Doug Lubahn on bass:

The casual music history buff would probably consider this group of industry insiders strange to them. Nice write up on how they contributed to the music world. May they RIP.
