There is no doubt that social media has changed relationships or at least had an impact on what relationships are now in this generation. How could it not what with technology on the rise.Using it now, we make and keep track of money with it, keep in contact with it, we work with all different programs and social media sites all used through technology hell even some of our cars drive on their own. What impact do yall think social media has on relationships i? is it for the better or worse? -TALK TO ME

As long as you trust your spouse or significant other, social media shouldn't matter

At the beginning of our relationship, my partner and I relied on social media to keep in touch. He'd relied on it because of his health - i.e. to stop himself becoming isolated if he was not able to get out. In the past few years, I've taken to calling him on the telephone at lunch times. Other than that, he'll send me the odd message via Facebook - sometimes something soppy, sometimes if he needs to let me know something before I get home (he doesn't have a mobile 'phone). Now, we use social media mostly for keeping in touch with our eldest son, eldest daughter, and grandchildren. The younger daughter doesn't use social media, and the younger son lives with us. In our case, it's been good to have social media - we'd not have the relationship we do with our girls. We're not the kind of people who sit there in the same room and talk on apps with each other. So, for us, social media has been a positive thing.
