An enjoyable concert

I played bass with the rock band today in a two day "festival" designed to raise money for toys for poor kids in our area. It was actually a great time. Folks (not the musicians) had to bring $20 and an unwrapped gift, and the place was packed. Backstage, there were libations, and I got to chat with some fellow East Bay musicians I had not met before. We didn't get paid for this gig, but I got $60 for the last gig we played (In Scott math, $60 = 1/4 of $250).

I suppose that the $10 remaining disappeared in the usual pockets.

That’s cool. (And, just saying, that bass doesn’t look like it came from C.F. Martin....) We have a thing like that here, it’s called the “Give a Jam for the Homeless.” God bless all the people who give of their time to help the less fortunate!
