Roast in Slow Cooker for Dinner

Started a roast in the slow cooker around 8:am this morning. It will cook on low about eight hours. I added veggies, onions, cream of mushroom soup and potatoes.
It sure smells good already in the house. I will make biscuits later to go along with the gravy.
One of my favorite meals when the weather gets cold. Comfort food. Snapped a photo to share. It is about halfway cooked now. The roast is all covered right now, but it will all cook together in the next few hours.
Plans for dinner. A little early I know, but this one was planned ahead.

I don´t have a slow cooker. i rather have and use the opposite: a pressure cooker. With it, I can do wonders in minutes.

@marguicha Some foods are just better, in my option, if they are cooked long and slow. This pot is good for that. But we all have our preferences.

i wish the hubs'd not a dislike 'n refusal to eat anythin' from the crock pot, sure makes some lovely meals. bet yer place did smell most temptin'. biscuits, too? dang, i miss livin' out'n the south, lol.

@CarolDM i confess i used to make roasts'n such, take 'em out 'bout'n hour 'fore time fer him to get home 'n put such'n the roaster'n pop'n the oven. he 'twas none the wiser, lol. biscuits...a southern staple!
