Why weekend looks so short?

Lithuania
December 14, 2019 2:26pm CST
Good evening! As always, I was waiting for the weekend, for the rime when I could sit calmly and enjoy reading books, drinking hot coffee with freshly baked cake. I always bake a cake at the weekend because my kids visit us. They both live near us, in the city, and we just a few km behind the city, on a newly created suburb areas similar to the village. When the weekend comes, it looks I have so much time to do this and that... And look, one day already is gone. It looks like time disappeared again. Why the weekend looks so short? Photo credit: mine

Yes it is weird how the weekend seems to telescope into Monday

Maybe it's all in our minds? We just want more rest, more time without responsibilities.

Same as days fast approaching. Sounds like it’s in a hurry to leave the tear behind.

Maybe I just became a bit lazy before Christmas and want more rest.

Yes, work time is slowly passing by and a fun time is flying too fast.

It's because you look forward to it so much and want to get so much done. Now that I'm retired, every day is a weekend.

I can imagine, when you do not need to work anymore, all days are similar; as you said, every day is a weekend.

Weekends are ALWAYS way too short. Drives me nuts. But I guess until I retire I have to accept that weekends will be only two days while the workweek is five.
