Late Monday night we got a snowstorm. We only got about an inch but it was very wet so the roads were all ice and slush. They cancelled school Tuesday.
Since there wasn’t school I didnt have to babysit. I sewed a patch on my daughters bookbag and wrapped a lot of presents to put under the tree. The only ones I have left to do next week are my kids and my boyfriends sons. Photo is of the presents under our tree.
I got a code from my telephone company for a free year of Amazon Prime buy the code isn’t working so I spent an hour on the phone yesterday trying to get it take care of. They are looking into it.
Today I babysat my niece for a half day. My mom sent over some things for us to do. We played about 8 games of Festive Bingo. It was fun.
She also helped me make a new recipe for “Pumpkin spice sugar cookies”. The recipe was pretty good but now Im out of butter. I was hoping to not have to go out again for groceries before the holidays but I’m running low on a lot of things.

Even an inch of snow is already dangerous to the vehicle on the road? What if the snow will not melt the whole day, you cannot use the road?

@Alexandoy the snow plows come through and plow the roads and put down something to help melt the ice off the road. They don't always do a very good job and roads can be in very bad shape for a day or more.

@Alexandoy it’s awful I avoid it as much as possible. Unless someone has 4 wheel drive or All wheel drive it’s been they stay off the roads when it snows or is icy at all.

@marlina I didn't want to drive an hour to go to Aldi's and Walmart so before taking my daughter to her counseling appointment we stopped at Family Dollar and a local grocery store. After leaving I realized I forgot ice cream that was on sale there. Oh well I got a few other things I needed.

@LadyDuck the man at the head company is wonderful. He calls every day updating me on the situation and trying to get things worked out for me.
It is so cold this morning. Yesterday was really cold too. I went to the store before taking my daughter to her counseling appointment and got a few things I needed like butter.

@WackyDecor I set a budget of how much I can spend on each person. Then shopping around for the best prices I am usually able to get quite a few things for each person. I still have to wrap my sons, daughter's and boyfriends sons presents this weekend.

You must be quite hectic this weekend. Christmas will only be within 5 days. When I was a kid, opening a present was what I was waiting for on Christmas day :-)

I don't know why but these days it seems we run out of things quicker then ever before and it makes no sense. Seems we have to go after things daily in this bunch.
Love your tree. beautiful.

@bunnybon7 thank you. My boyfriend thinks my tree is hideous. At least I have one . He didn’t even get one this year. Usually he gets a real tree that costs $30. I laid $35 (75%off after Xmas) Years ago and will have it for many more years.

@RasmaSandra thank you. I enjoy sitting and reading and getting to see the corner of my living room all lit up with the tree.
