That’s one of my platitudes, but it’s true.
I waited until the last minute yesterday before canceling my husband’s birthday dinner on a rooftop restaurant after explaining to him where we were eating. He agreed. The sky looked ominous and the temperatures plummeted.
Instead we discovered a new restaurant in our little downtown and had a wonderful meal.
My husband was extremely pleased with his birthday gifts. His favorites were the Impeachment of Donny Trump and the call from our younger son. Our younger son received the raise in salary that he asked for. The raise alone is much more than his ex wife earns in an entire year. Too bad for her.

I am glad he enjoyed his bday and that you discovered a new restaurant. They keep saying there is no way Trump is going to be convicted in the Senate..but I just keep hoping a bombshell witness will come forward and blow the lid off things.

I don’t follow politics so Trump was actually impeached? I know I saw my dad post after watching it he switched to another party. I wasn’t sure what he meant as I didn’t watch it or hear much else. Njchicaa writes about it a lot I’ll go see what she posted.

I'm glad you and your 'sweet heart' had a lovely Birthday dinner, together. Ominous weather can change plans, quite often:( Any gifts from you, came from the depths of your heart and he, no doubt covets 'Dianne's love'. The impeachment of Donny T. was a special gift, to our nation! Your son's ex wife will pay dearly, for the cruelty she has dished out!

Thanks so much. I tried my best to give my husband a good birthday. My brother just called and said that we will celebrate it again when he arrives in less than 3 weeks.
I’m so over the moon for our son. He had a sad year losing both cats and going through a divorce. It’s time for him to start living!

Congrats to your son. Too bad you had to change your plans. Donny won't be impeached unless the Senate passes the judgment. I don't think that will happen. I'm glad your husband had a good birthday. That's a nice picture of him. Have a good Thursday. It's in the 20s here today! Brrrrrr.

2 observations:
1) He will not be found 'guilty' in the senate and he will go on doing what he is doing plus win the 2020 election!
2)I know what you are saying regarding ex DIL but think of it as woman NOT being paid what they are worth or what men are paid in the same job!!

@lifecoachjerusalem You are right. @Great Martin was referring to his first impeachment, but never returned to read my reply. Probably doesn't realize an impeachment is still an impeachment. For all I know, he may be a Trump supporter.

Mr. Trump lost the 2020 election to be exact. He just can't be a good politician and realize that by objecting he has trashed his political and maybe even his economic career

When you say plummeting temperatures, do you mean that it went from the normal 98 degrees down to a freezing 95 degrees?
Tell your husband not to get too excited about Donny being impeached, the Senate will never convict him. As I suspected, all the votes will go along party lines.

@DianneN Well, being impeached certainly didn't hurt Bill Clinton at all, so I wonder why they still waste their time and our tax dollars for things like this, when they already know what the outcome is going to be?

It dropped to a low of 63. When I went out on the lanai to see what to wear, it was 67! Brrrrr! At least it didn’t rain on our parade.
Donny Trump, no matter what comes next, will go down in history as one of impeached Presidents. Of course the Senate won’t convict him. We all know that.
