55 F was just too cold

My sister told me almost 2 weeks ago that she used to keep the thermostat in her house set at 55 during the winter. I came back here that night and turned that sucker down to 55. If she could do it, then so could I!
I've had it set at that ever since but the temperature in here has never gotten below 60 and usually not below 63 or 62. . . until today. It was like 20 degrees F here all day and that took its toll on this place. I got back here and the thermostat read 55 degrees F.
I tried to leave it there and go lay in bed under my electric blanket. I couldn't do it. The blanket just didn't feel warm enough to make much of a dent in the cold. I was shivering like crazy. I got up and finally turned it up to 65. I now feel like I'm in a tropical rain forest compared to how I felt before.
I will turn it back down to 60 or 62 when I go to bed tonight but I won't turn it down that low again. It is NOT for me!

I could deal with that with just as pair of socks on my feet and some long john style pajamas, but I know it's not for everyone. Sorry you couldn't make it last longer.
