Dutch People Invaded the German Supermarket

It seems to me that we are invaded by the Dutch people. My hubby and I were food shopping in 3 different supermarkets. Every time we went inside the shops, I heard Dutch children talking to their parents while their parents were busy putting some perishable food in their shopping carts.
I can only understand a few words in Dutch language. I have nieces who have Dutch small children and they talk to me the way those kids in the shops talked to their parents. I understood that the children were pointing toys to their parents to see and maybe to buy.
It is only 20 minutes drive to be in the boarder of Holland/Netherlands. I heard from my relatives there that most of their friends shops food and other things in Germany. It seems that meat, toys and other things are cheaper compared to buying them in their home country.
The Germans are shopping to Holland as well especially when there is holiday in Germany and not in Holland.
It was my last day shopping before Christmas. I have everything we need. How about you? Do you shop in your neighboring country?
Anyway, thanks for reading. Happy weekend everyone.

The closest neighboring country is Canada; and it's too far away to just shop there.

When I visit Canada I do come home with lots of things, but like you, it is things I can't get at home and last year in Ireland I also brought home some things that are hard to find here.
