With Christmas arriving soon it's time for a music trivia quiz about delicious eats and drinks. All of the artists songs have either a food or alcohol word within it's title. Take the quiz or just follow along and see which songs fill the tummy... Time for some sweets and "I Want Candy." And I've got just the video song to start things off. This song was originally recorded in 1965 by a group called The Strangeloves. You might remember this more recent cover by the group Bow Wow Wow's, an 80's version done almost 20 years later from the original. It is quite catchy and has some cool guitar riffs and some funky drumming. So, play it and see if you remember this "New Wave/Pop/Rock Candy" of a video. Enjoy! Now for our quiz... Whodunnit? Do you know these songs and artists from the following clues? 1. This innocent, Doo-Wop styled ballad in 1963 reached #3 on the charts. The artist is singing about how sweet a girl's love is. With these sample lyrics from this tune how could one not be smitten: We get along so well, I know just why I fell, She's thrillin' (thrillin') oh, chillin' (chillin'), Yeah she's so divine. This band went on to monopolize the charts in the early 60's until the arrival of The Beatles and other British Invasion groups. Even so, this foursome was one of only two bands who had chart success before, during, and after the invasion of the groups from England. The group featured a lead singer with a falsetto voice and an unmistakable sound instantly recognizable to fans on all their songs. Many of their tunes dealt with relationship problems and trying to hang on in tough times. The timeless music they gave us resulted in a musical play based on their lives. 2. This artist and famous child actor was only 6 years old when this was released. This is her signature song. Who wouldn't like a song about different types of candy. Some of those sweets mentioned in this song were bon-bons, cracker jacks, chocolate bars, tootsie rolls and devil's food cakes. This actress appeared in 29 films from the ages of 3 to 10. In 1935, she became the first child star to be honored with a miniature Juvenile Oscar for her film accomplishments. As an adult she served as a United States Ambassador. This actress became so popular they named a drink after her! Bonus: This candy-coated pop hit tells a simple story about a young girl in love. This female singer from Jamaica was just 17 when the song was released in 1964. This is one of the best-selling hits and earliest with a reggae influence. This artist's last name coincided with her height as she was only 5 feet 2 inches tall. Comparing a boy to candy and the way she sang this original 1956 tune gave the song a novelty feel making it a massive #2 U.S/UK hit. Do you know this candy song and artist? OK, let's "eat like a kid in a candy store" and solve this music quiz. Remember part of the song title has either a food or drink reference. If your stuck and need additional help just let me know in your response. Or, as the singer Bill Withers might say, "You Can Lean On Me" if you need another clue. Is #1 the Four Seasons? #2 is Shirley Temple. I'm stumped on the Bonus. I think John Roberts has it all.

Yes, a very good assumption about the "Cluemaster." Very good job and getting 2 artists out of 3 ain't bad as the singer Meatloaf would say. Way to "eat up" those clues One of my favorite 4 Seasons songs.. Enjoy!
