A Christmas Carol

My youngest nephew called me the other day to see if I was going to see this play. His oldest brother was going to be in it (playing the father of Bob Cratchet). I had really wanted to go this year (my nephew acts in this play every year with his theater group, and I don't always have the money to go). Funds have been very low due to Christmas. Well, it turned out that my youngest nephew had bought his ticket but didn't want to go alone, so he bought a ticket for me and said that he really wanted us to go together. Needless to say, he made my day! We went to the play earlier this evening and I have to say that it's the best production this group has done yet! Both Scrooge and Cratchet were women, which was completely delightful! There was a lot of singing and my nephew (the one in the play) was hysterical and a joy to behold. This is the second year my youngest nephew has been back here "at home", since moving back from the west coast, and his first time seeing his brother act. He was amazed and thrilled. We had the best time together. It's nice to have another family member living close. It makes these holidays so much more meaningful. Peace Claudia

I love this old British Novel, I have a DVD with the Disney version of " A Christmas Carol" that I watch every year. I am glad you have watched this with your nephew.

While I enjoy TV and movies, nothing beats seeing a live performance
