What's for dinner? December 23

What's going on the dinner table tonight? Do tell! I am not cooking tonight. One of the people coming over tonight said she would bring some snacks. I do have tortilla chips and salsa that I can contribute to the spread if we need it. This is very unusual for me. I'm usually the hostess with the mostest. I love entertaining and making all sorts of goodies from scratch. I'm just not in the mood these days. I'm lucky to even be having people over this evening because I was very close to saying no. So if someone wants to bring the snacks, that is fine with me. I don't care if it is a bag of chips and pre-made onion dip. That's what is happening here. What are YOU having? I want to know!

December 23rd was Jay's Birthday, so we went out for fish & chips, it was really good.

I had two cabbage rolls when they came out of the oven. Neither I nor my husband could wait until Christmas to try them! They were a lot of work; but they were good.

I understand the lot of work part. We make homemade ravioli and it takes us hours to make hundreds of them

Enjoy your friend coming over and treating you for a change. My hubby took me out for a beautiful and delicious Chinese supper tonight. It was a huge buffet with Chinese as well as Canadian cuisine and we both left totally stuffed.

I'm making cheese-stuffed meatloaf for dinner with breaded mushrooms as a side dish. Leftover sopapilla cheesecake pie for dessert. Hope you have a good meal from those dishes.

Well, have a good time and take a load off. Have a drink or two. Enjoy your time and let it be an opportunity to get your mind off certain things momentarily. As for what's going on my table tonight, haven't decided yet.
