I have to share with you something that happened here today

Today was our Jewish Sabbath so no work whatsoever. I went out for my morning walk and heard this cry and had to see where it was. It was an orange kitten crying. The little one was alone. I decided to postpone my walk and go back and get water and some food for it. When I got back it was so sweet this older white cat was sitting with it. I could not take a picture so you have to use your imaginations here. Our Sabbath is over and I lit my Hannuka candles so wanted to wait till they were done before I went back to bed. So I moved away when I brought the food and water and the little one went and ate and drank. I got some garbage bags for it to sleep on but should have moved them because people will throw the bowls out and the garbage bags too. I could not bring him or her home because not sure Sophie would approve.

Aw the poor kitten. Can you not put signs up asking if anyone wants the kitten?

She suggested somewhere else. She cannot help me. I did not see the kitten when I went out to bring water.

I went back yesterday to bring it water and did not see or hear it at all. I did not see it today either and was by there many times.

I hope someone took it in. Cats can usually fend for themselves. You could always go back and see if it is still there, it may have just got lost but eventually found its way home again.

Thanks and I hope so. I hope no one hurt it. I like your version better. There are some with pets in this neighborhood and some that like them but most do not know anything about them and I caught some kids being mean to kids and called them out on that. People take their kids to the zoo and the animals are not out where they can get at them so they have no idea how to treat them with respect away from the zoo.

This was such a tiny little one. I believe it was abandoned. I hope the white one came back for it.

@Hannihar You are a sensitive,kind person and I highly appreciate it. Recently while flying in the sky two kites fought and one of them fell in our backyard.We gave it .The next moring it got well and we let it out

I believe that too, but now I have not seen the kitten or heard it so do not know what happened. There is water bowls waiting for him or her to drink.

I have no idea. I feel it was abandoned. It was crying and I heard it and followed the sound. The poor thing. I hope the white one came back when i left and helped it.

You did the best thing, you fed it and gave it water. Maybe the white cat was the ,mother and she will lead it home with her.

DB, it wasn't a story. I felt for this kitten and the old dog. I wish I could do more for them but cannot.

Where I used to live I fed stray cats and my neighbors even if they had furry ones they still did not like me feeding the strays. When I moved I made sure they were taken care of.That is ok DB.

@Hannihar Yes I understand. Wrong choice of words there. An overabundance of Cat populations have become a issue with many strays around. Very prevalent in some towns here.
