A Great Day of Earning

I had absolutely no intentions of being productive today, but it happened quite accidentally. As I lay there on the couch like a lazy bum this morning, I realized that the batteries on my TV remote had gone dead. And being that I had no spare batteries anywhere in the house, I knew I would eventually have to get up and go to the store. But since I didn't need the remote until a little later on when football came on, I decided to continue being lazy and kick back and play on myLot and Swagbucks.
Well, surprise surprise! After accidentally clicking on a part of the Swagbucks website I've never clicked on before, I realized that we can earn SBs on certain items when we grocery shop (sort of like coupons). After thoroughly looking at the list of offers, I realized there was quite a bit on there that I needed (or wanted) from the store....including batteries.
So, after a quick trip to the store, I came home, uploaded my receipt, and just like that earned 1500 SBs. Made my day!
Now I'm back laying on the couch being lazy again, but this time with a working TV remote in my hand! haha
Do any of you take advantage of in-store offers from Swagbucks?

I wouldn't recommend it as a daily habit though!

@JudyEv I'm sure I could figure out a way to use daily laziness to my advantage, but by nature I am a very active person, so it would probably be more work for me to try and be lazy than to just keep being active!

Most of their offers aren't for that much, most are like normal coupon amounts, for like 50 or 75 SBs, but every now and then they'll do a promotion where you can earn some serious SBs. I'm also eyeing an offer they have on there right now for Armor All, as it just so happens that my daughter mentioned the other day that she wants to detail her car.

Yeah, definitely check it out! I'm not sure if the offers are localized, or are the same nationally. But it's worth a look.

That is awesome. I have looked at that recipt section before, I didn't realize grocery earning was so easy. I am gonna have to try that.If you try hard enough, I have found you can monetize almost everything you do.

@moffittjc Yes, the Swagbucks local thing is neat, although I am not sure any of the places close to me participate in that.

Yes, I am quickly realizing that you can make money off of just about anything you do these days. I am starting to be more conscious about that every time I go out and do something. I also realized I can earn SBs from eating at my favorite restaurant near my work. I go there for lunch several times a week and earn SBs every time I eat!

@snowy22315 I got super lucky...only two restaurants in my town are part of Swagbucks Local, and one of them is my favorite place right by my office!

Well that's awesome. I haven't used SB in quite some time. I found other things that takes less time and earns me just as well.

@moffittjc You gotta use what you are comfortable with. I stopped using it for several reasons, but one because the way I used it was not earning as much as it once did. Also because I would have the habit of doing lots of shopping offers and ending up spending more than I wanted to.

I guess I just continue going there out of habit. But it's been good to me, and I'm comfortable with it, so I will probably just continue using it!

No I don’t take advantage of instore offers from swagbucks but maybe I should start after seeing how much you earned doing it. That would be another amazon cashout for me there. How do I find them I am going to check and see if there is anything I need

@moffittjc That is cool that you save up your earnings and use it for vacation at Christmas time. Right now I am saving mine up not sure for what yet. I normally cashout at $25

@Tina30219 I made the decision years ago when I first started earning money online that I would put all my online earnings aside to use at Christmas time. Originally, I had planned to use that money towards gifts, but found it was much more useful in spending when we went on vacation to Disney. And so that's what I have been doing for the past 4 or 5 years.

I am very very close to another cash-out on Swagbucks. I always waiting until I have enough SBs to equal $50 in cash-outs. I usually dump the money into my PayPal account, which I save up all year long to use when we go on vacation over Christmas.

@moffittjc I used to just run the videos and made decent. But they have not been playing right for the past year. Even on a new laptop

@wolfgirl569 I have never been able to get into the video playing thing. For some reason playing those videos just kills the battery in my laptop, so it's not worth it for me. It probably costs me more in electricity to keep recharging my battery than it does the SBs I earn from the videos.

I'm going to spend more time in the new year exploring all the different things Swagbucks has to offer. I've only ever paid attention to the surveys on the site, but I'm quickly realizing there are many other ways to earn money on the site.

I barely have time to do Swagbucks and myLot, so those are the only two sites I'm on. I try to balance the amount of time I spend on both.

No I've never used SB.
What I'm currently going to look at (haven't yet but will be in next week or so) is taking advantage of the many cash back sites I'm a member of but have never used.
A beta version of a smart utility switch site I was approved to test and a few other sites.
Decided that in the new year I want to get rich again as I hate being poor

Every year I make New Years plans to get rich, and every year I end the year poor. So far my strategy is not working! haha

@moffittjc My previous strategies worked beyond well but I had lots of money to play with.
Now I don't have much but I think I'm getting the nerve up to get back into e commerce.
I made nearly £40k from 2 sites in the past...if I can learn from that and find new products I think what I did back then still could work now.
The main issue is that having to have a job to pay the bills will massively impact the time I have to spend on other things.
Back then my inheritance and savings meant I didn't have to have a job so devoted the majority of time to my sites.

On Friday I light the Hannuka candles before I light the candles for our Sabbath. After our Sabbath is over Saturday night then we can light Hannuka candles. Thanks for the welcome back.
