Our Little Pre Teen

Our little 11 year old granddaughter is full of life and vigor. I wish I had some of it.
She performed a fabulous figure skating routine on Saturday to “Jingle Bell Rock” near a shopping area in lower Manhattan, New York City. Many tourists stopped by to watch, photograph, and take videos of her. According to our daughter-in-law, the applause was thunderous.
The photo was taken before the performance by our son. Do you notice her brand new purple and blue braces? Can you see her brand new iPhone 11? Do you notice her manicure?
She is turning into a mini me!

At least you’re honest!
She needs her phone to coordinate pickup times with her mother after practices. Her mom can’t be with her every minute due to ice hockey practices with her brother. Besides, she can now FaceTime me any time she wants. It’s almost as good as being there with her. She also can text and call all her many friends and play games during down times. iPhones are so wonderful to have when you’re young, old, and active. I just this minute texted my hubs to pick up ink cartridges while he is out while responding to you.

For someone who does not know the difference betwen chalk and cheese when it comes to phones all what I saw in her hand was a phone (lol)
She is grooming to be a little Dianne I can vouch for that.

The braces, yes I noticed them, but the cell phone, I wasn't sure what it was. I'd LOVE to have seen her performance!

@kobesbuddy That’s true. Also, her coaches and parents don’t want to have them posted. Her coaches, because of her routines, and her parents, because of other parents.

i noticed the eye makeup first then the braces (though not the color). she was the only one who performed there? i've always loved jingle bell rock.

@ExplorewtMe She call text her parents when she needs to be picked up from practices, FaceTime me, call her friends, play games when waiting, and take photos.

She is a very beautiful girl and is going to be a knock out when she fully grows up. I am glad her skating is going so well. With me, it was ballet but only until I finished grade school
