My 19 year old son, who when I asked him what he would like for Christmas told me that he would like a new bed! I was rather surprised because in previous years it has been clothes, X Box games, money etc. I asked him a few times if he was sure that this was what he wanted and he was sure, so his new bed arrived on Christmas Eve which I thought was fab, he even asked me if he had to wait for Christmas Day to put it up! Of course I said no he did not have to wait. That would have just been mean. Did anyone else have any unusual requests for presents?

My eldest son (who is also 19 for the next two weeks!) often asks for stationery and cheese. There's never really anything in particular that he wants. There was one year when my youngest (I don't know how old he was - maybe 7 or 8) said that all he wanted for Christmas was his coat (that I'd already bought for him. Now he's 14 and has, for the past couple of years, just wanted computer games and suchlike. I can't think of anything particularly unusual that anyone asked us for this year.

Signs of growing up! Had he outgrown his old one? My son and I just wanted wuiet time alone, as we lost my husband and his father in 2019.
