Giving away.

I was responding my friend @Letranknight2015 post about throwing away a chair when I started to think about the many things that I have given away lately.
The last giveaway was my sewing machine. I gave it to my eldest daughter. Tania has a lot of things to do and does not have too much time to come to sew here.
And 2 days ago I decided to invite Dixie home with the only idea of taking clothes out of my closet to give away to people who need it more.
I feel that there is a time in our life when it is better to give away things now instead of leaving them only to be thrown away.
Do you give away things once in a while?

I am finding that this is a great time of year to get rid of things and give them away, or sometimes throwing things away if they are too far gone.

My wife is a pack rat that she wants to hold on to old things. So many to give away but they remain in our stock rooms - 2 bedrooms that are full of old things.

Yes, I frequently give things away. I can't stand clutter.

I called the charity last year and I asked them to come here with a small truck to collect the many things I had to donate. I gave them two full services of dishes, three of glasses, some bed sheets, some towels, some blankets (still new) three full boxes of clothing of my mom and other minor things. I will call them again soon, I had a sewing machine, two vacuum cleaners, some other clothing, pans and pots that I do not need.

I give away many boxes of items to Goodwill every year.
