Working at Home Has Its Memories

Today I worked on my food niche social media accounts. It wasn't on my To Do List. I started off intending to work on something else. But got sidetracked and ended up at my Facebook page.
I updated my Facebook foodie page by changing the cover photo and pinned a post to the top of my page to direct visitors to my Tumblr foodie blog. After I updated the page, I thought to myself, I should change the cover photo on my Tumblr so that it matches with the FB page. Now I'm going to change the cover photo on my foodie Twitter so that it matches too.
I don't know why I didn't think to do this before. Actually I do know why.
I started this project several years ago when I first started trying to earn money working at home. I don't earn much from the accounts, but I don't want to give them up. They are reminders of how far I've come. I started my work-at-home /endeavors back in 2007. I didn't have a clue what to do! My foodie websites, blogs, and social media accounts, were like my first home business projects. I have to hang on to them, if only for sentimental reasons.
The image is a photo of my imaginary home office.

What I've doing now is mostly focusing on foodie Twitter account but trying to send traffic from my Twitter to my sites by tweeting those links. Heading into 2020. Hope this strategy works.

Thanks. It was hard because my late husband didn't really understand and my son was too busy to help his mom. But hey! I figured if others were doing it, it was at least worth trying.

Color coordination sounds great and I bet they looks nice too. Since 2007, I would feel the same way about not giving them up as well so I definitely understand.

Before 2007, as far back as 1999, when I worked a regular job I had a friend who told me he was going to learn HTML code, javascript, etc. and how to build websites and he was going to use it as a way to earn extra income. I never thought, at that time, I would need to know anything about that. But one day I found myself needing to come up with a way to earn extra income. I actually thought back to what my friend had said. Well! Since my son had finally convinced my late husband to get a home computer with Internet access, I decided to surf the worldwide web and teach myself. I know people pay for courses but we didn't have the money to invest in my education. So I am self-taught. That learning curve was and still is a real struggle.
