This time feels different

I've spent years coming and going on MyLot but for some reason this time feels different. Maybe it's because I have made new friends or maybe it's because I have dropped other sites to concentrate on this one so I can spend more time here but I can't wait to get here in the mornings, quite a new thing for me.
I've been spending my time on different sites since 2012 so the initial excitement I felt when I learned I could actually earn money has worn off but here's hoping I stay for the duration this time. I certainly feel positive.

@LadyDuck We know lots about each other's lives from talking here. I wonder if we would get on well in real life.

I have only been on this site for the past couple of years, so I don't know what it was like before. But I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here since first joining. This is the only writing site I belong too. I don't even pay attention to the fact that I make money, I just enjoy the camaraderie and fellowship of all the wonderful people here.

@moffittjc I made a payment at the end of last month as I was already halfway there from the last time I was here. I should be able to make one each month as I'm making more than 17 cents a day which is what we need. The money isn't everything though. I like being here too.

I am going to concentrate more on MyLot and drop my other sites apart from one or two that only take a short time to do. I used to give up before because I couldn't keep up with it but this time I have more time to attend to my notifications.

@sprite1950 I'm glad you'll be able to spend more time here now. With a little extra time, you should be able to keep up with your notifications.

It's not all about money as I am financially secure. I just think it's nice to be rewarded for our efforts so satisfying to get a small payment.

@JudyEv I actually made a payment last month. I came back on the 21st December and already had a little from the last time I was here so clocked up around $6. I was pleased with that.

@sprite1950 Same here. It's only a pittance but it still feels good to 'earn' it.

It's a great site, this one. I hope it sticks around for a long time to come and I think it will. Gone are the days of bigger money like WebAnswers or Bubblews. But I will take my pennies here so long as I think this site has the pay model right, and I think they most certainly do.

Yes it really has outlasted other sites. I loved WebAnswers, it was my first online earning site and I have very fond memories of it. Bubblews was ok but I left before it closed as I hated those constant server crashes. I was always paid though.

@porwest I can remember cashing out £60 ($100 at the time) a month or at least every 2 months. I loved that site especially at first because before them I didn't know I could earn online.

@sprite1950 Yeah, that's about how it went for me as well. Man, those were the days, hey? And like we have talked about, there were a few who thought, at the time, that that was it. You could quit your job and do nothing but work online and make a living. Some of us saw that as being too good to be true ultimately, and knew that the gravy train would eventually come to a stop somewhere down the line. It just seemed too easy, and that caused me to be suspect of its absolute future.

I've felt somewhat the same. I've been here since the beginning but came and went (mostly because I forgot about it). Since I came back most recently, it does seem to be better. Like you, I think it's partly a matter of concentrating on the one site. I'd tried all sorts - two that I liked no longer exist (which is a shame because I lost some good work on those) - but I like it here.
Whereas I'd have a look at any other paid writing sites, I now stick to just two. This one because it's familiar and simple, and Vocal.media for article writing because it's easy to use and very few limitations.
I hope you stick around here too.

@sprite1950 I don't think I'd get far only posting for the money! That's just a nice added bonus. It's friendly and interactive here. Vocal is where I can showcase my writing work and don't have to interact with other people!

@pumpkinjam I don't know that site but I will take a look. I don't really want to take on any more at the moment. The reason I have left here in the past is because it becomes too much when I try to fit it in with other sites.

Thank you. I don't post solely for money. I'm retired so it fills my spare moments. There are so many sites that have fallen by the wayside but MyLot is always here like a big comfort blanket, I think that's why I keep coming back.

I have been active here for 4 months, if my calculation is correct. The earnings is a good motivation to log in when I have the spare time.

@Alexandoy I registered years ago but I tend to come and go. I think the longest I ever stayed here was around 2 months but I have dropped most of my writing sites now and want to concentrate on being here. I write a couple of posts on ForumCoin each day but don't do any other writing sites so it gives me more time to spend here.

I've been here a few years on and off and have regularly been gone for months at a time but always come back
Not here anywhere near as much as I used to be and tend to read more than I write.
Its a good site which is why it has so many loyal members...I'd be pretty upset if it ever shut down for good.

I expect you know it did stop paying once but it stayed open. People left in their droves but despite that it is now one of the most successful sites of its kind. Two others that opened this year have already closed. MyLot is like a comfort blanket to me, always here when I need it.

@Mike197602 I have some great discussions with a few people here. We can keep the conversation going for weeks but not everyone wants that or is even able to keep it going. Which part of the UK are you from? I'm from south west England.

@sprite1950 yes I remember when it stopped paying.
I stayed around for a few months but it descended into a spam site and only a few original members were left...I vanished quite quickly...not because of the money as I've never been interested in that as it is so little, I went because there was no real discussion.
To be honest I prefer the old site where there was real knock down drag out debate but this version is better than no mylot

@CarolDM I thought it was you. I never did that well there. I much prefer MyLot. A small payment at least once a month keeps me gong. It always seems such an uphill climb with Virily.

I used to do 5 or 6 sites but it's too time consuming and then I find I can't keep up with them all. It's much easier to keep up with notifications this time.
