January 5 - What I'm Thankful for and Weekend Health Report

Good morning. You might have noticed I wasn't on here yesterday after I left for church. I experimented in keeping away from myLot for Sunday and the computer in general. I didn't do any writing of any kind yesterday outside of my daily Bible study. My goal was to relax and I did.
I'm thankful for church yesterday morning. We had a guest speaker who will be starting a church in southern Wisconsin. My pastor has been coaching him on getting started.
I'm thankful for people who love to share. My sister and brother-in-law shared their cold with me. I've decided not to pass it on though unless I did so yesterday when I went to church.
I'm thankful for a good memory. When church was over, I remembered I didn't plug in the crockpot. Lunch was at five yesterday instead of noon. I made a pot roast using some of the veggies from the open house.
I'm thankful for a relaxing Sunday while I battled the cold.
As for the health report. I have the numbers for Friday and Sunday. Saturday was too hard to track with all the different foods and the fact it was more a nibble day than a meal day.
Friday
Calories: 1020
Sugar: 37
Carbs: 132
Protein: 52.6
Sodium: 622
Fat: 32.8
Calories burned - swimming - 388
Shopping - 177
Total calories burned - 565
Total calories - 455
I'm almost positive I spent more calories shopping than 177 since I went to three stores and spent three hours walking through those stores. I also did a good deal of housework which I didn't figure in.
I had two egg meals, only one with turkey bacon.
Saturday
Fruit and veggie trays, cheese, sausage, and crackers, and two cookies. I took them to church yesterday so I wouldn't be tempted further with them. Also the almond butter mini muffins and apple crunch. The only thing normal about Saturday was breakfast with an addition of figs that I got at Aldi. Only two of those.
Sunday
Breakfast
Apple Crunch
Pineapple/Orange Juice
Banana
Lunch
Eggs
Potato
Turkey Bacon
Supper
Pot Roast
Calories: 1075.5
Sugar: 95.1
Carbs: 149.8
Protein: 39.8
Sodium: 495.1
Fat: 37.35
I barely ate yesterday with the start of this cold and I don't know how much I'll be eating today. I had enough pot roast to say I had some. Not much at all. I still have a full crockpot.
That was my weekend. How was your weekend? Was it relaxing? How did you do with food and exercise? Thanks for reading.

sure hope ya didn't share that cold with the church folk, hon. that'd be awful. i've fingers crossed i don't get the crud the hubs's. i've been followin' him 'round fer days with hydrogen peroxide to disinfect. 'f course when i'm outdoors i've nary a clue what all he's touched/coughed 'r sneezed'n.
can ya 't least drink the broth from the roast? gotta keep yer nutrition 'p, e'en if'n ya don't feel like eatin'. ne'er mind, the hubs'll not listen either, lol.
i'd loads 'f physical activities this past weekend. corrals cleaned, manure spread 'cross pasture, ponies groomed, cleaned out the hay barn, scrubbed all 4 tanks. cleaned the pond, raked leaves fer the ferals to play'n ('twas cute watchin' 'em, not very helpful though) 'n got some other schtuff cleared out'ta one 'f the garages. nary a clue's to how many calories burnt.
'nly meal i recall outside 'f the salmon patties, broccoli 'n carrots i made last eve 'tis my smoothies, 'f which i'd 3 o'er the weekend.
doesn't really matter 's i feel purty good, the place looks better 'n that makes me happy :)

@crazyhorseladycx The broth always goes down the drain. I've never been much of a soup person, so any broth was always tossed. Even as a kid. I ate only what was necessary with the food. There was always a lot left.

I have the heat cranked, drinking pineapple/orange juice, fresh-squeezed orange juice, and I have two bags of Cuties. This cold doesn't stand a chance against that much citric acid. I'm hoping to be back in the pool tomorrow. I might need to go to the store for more tissues.

Sorry to hear about your cold, and glad you have decided not to share it. lol What was the experiment? As for the crock pot, I did that once and I knew I had forgotten to turn it on immediately when I walked in the door and did not notice the usual aroma of cooking food. I think we ordered out for pizza that night. lol

To see if I could stay away from myLot. I did, but it wasn't easy. This addiction is bad. A good bad, but bad.
Thanks. I'm kicking it to the curb.
Pizza's good. I'll have leftovers today. They're always better the second time around anyway.

Sorry that you caught a cold. Seems like a winter cold is worse.
The weekend flew by for me even though I didn't really do much. Today life is back to normal which makes me happy after all the holiday hoopla.

Thank you. I'll get rid of this fast. I have enough vitamin C to eat that it doesn't stand a chance.
I'm glad today is back to normal.

Both Friday and Saturday, your numbers are excellent! We try to keep Sunday as a day of rest, but it doesn't always turn out that way:)

It was very hard to stay away from the computer. I played a couple of games, but that's it. Mostly I watched TV and relaxed.
