So Far A Snow-Less Winter!

Hello everyone and hope you are all feeling well this early in the New Year. I had a short hiatus from being on line with Christmas and now the usual Christmas cold. Flus and colds are running high locally and many people as well as family seem to be coughing around me---lol! So far it has been a dry-ish Winter with very little snow and above Seasonal weather so that always gets those flu bugs active. The only real snow we got this year was in November so we've been lucky here in the southern part of Ontario, Canada. Up North has seen a fair amount of snow but even they didn't get as much as usual. So what about you folks? Enough Winter snow yet to build a snowman?? Photo is from a snowier time last year.

OMG yes- much of Australia is over-hot right now----hope you avoided the fires and all is okay with your home! I know you are in the West and the worst of the fires are in the SouthEast!

We don't get snow here, but certainly we've had some cold days of winter (in terms of Southern CA). There has been snow closer to here that we were able to go to some snow days and not drive out terribly far. We are going on a skiing trip tomorrow in fact. I am surprised there is less snow out your way!

@MarymargII How strange! I'm glad you made it back! We made it back from our ski trip but I was sick as a dog the entire time - I didn't get to ski though I'm glad Hubby and the kids got to. It snowed when we got to our cabin (I think it's more like snow flurry I guess?) - but there was already snow everywhere (from a previous time on the sides of the roads). So is it warm ish over there?

Oh wow I've just had a weird time getting into myLot and had to log in. They didn't recognize my Username?? So have ben off for several days! Hope your ski trip was fun and that there was snow. Yes can you imagine no snow in Southern Ontario? But the North got quite a bit.

@much2say We may be getting snow this weekend but it seems to fly North mostly and just be rain in the Southern areas - It's strange for January. Did you have the flu? There's so much of that going around here too. I just finished a horrible cold with lots of deep coughing and it's still hanging in there now!

No snow here, we had less than one inch in November and nothing more. We have beautiful sunny days right now.

Anna I was locked out of myLot for a few days as myLot wanted me to log in but then would not accept my Username and/or password. Who can I complain to about this? We're like you with no snow still but do have cool and cold days--- +7-7 degrees.

@MarymargII You should send a Personal Message to the Admin to let him know that you had this problem, just to be sure that it will not happen again. We are below zero this morning it is very cold. (Do you need the link to the profile of the Administrator?)

@LadyDuck Yes Anna thanks-- I had no way to contact as I did not have this info and there is No Where on this site to contact anyone. I could get in but couldn't comment as I must have been logged out for some reason.

I’m sure by now you are getting hit with snow. Not a drop of it in Florida, and Connecticut has only had a total of a few inches. But it IS winter!

We had enough snow for a snowman back in November and early December. However, as soon as winter hit the calendar, we've seen almost no snow here. We had an almost green Christmas and dense fog to boot. There were only patches of snow left on Christmas. We had a little bit of snow for New Year's but that's about gone too.

My nephew also started coughing after our Christmas celebration. Most probably because of the sweets we let him eat or maybe the weather. In fact, it literally just started raining here again.

We've only gotten a dusting of snow here and there but nothing that needed shoveling. The winter is still young so we still have the chance to get bombarded with snow during Feb and March. Certainly keeping my fingers crossed that isn't the case. I'm enjoying this fairly milder winter so far.

I am too and don't want the cold weather- but it is strange. We usually have a good dusting of snow anyway! Supposedly it will snow this Saturday but it could turn to rain in the Southern areas.

Ct has had a mild Winter so far. We did have a very bad ice storm I had to drive in. Very hard to control the carbon ice.
