OneNote is such a great app!

I do a lot of writing on my phone, simply because it's almost always in my pocket and easier to access than a notebook. When I first started I was using Google Docs, mostly because it was convenient and let me open documents directly from my Google Drive. The downside of Docs is that it doesn't have the best organizational features, so sometimes finding the document I wanted to edit was a bit tough. I tried Evernote very briefly. Within three days it had eaten an entire document (seriously, why is the ability to save files to your device a premium feature? ). I couldn't get any of it back, so I decided to give OneNote a shot. It's fantastic! I can divide my documents into notebooks that have separate sections, and each section can hold multiple pages so I can keep everything way more organized than it was with everything all together in the same view with Docs. Everything syncs between my device and my OneDrive account... and even better, there's also a OneNote app for Windows 10 so switching back and forth between devices is even easier. I deleted all my notes from Evernote as soon as I copied them over to OneNote, and I haven't looked back since deactivating my Evernote account. I really wish it had a word count feature without using an extension, but even without that it's exactly what I needed it to be.

@lynnwrites In some options Docs is little simplier. Depends how many functions you need.

@mrki444 Yeah, I did like it for writing, but I have so many different drafts in progress right now that the way Docs lists documents just wasn't working for me anymore. OneNote has a few extra perks like being able to change the color of the note's background from the desktop/web version and being able to start editing a document right away. I don't mind using Docs but if it comes down to it I'll probably do my work in a OneNote document and just copy it over when I'm ready to share it with her.

It does! It was nice to find a free app that does (almost) everything I want it to do.
