FL Flea Market Fresh Produce / myLot

We live in CT and go to FL for January and my hubby stays Feb. too! Great to get out of the cold. Sun feels good on our old bones. One of the things we love is the fresh fruit and veggies at the Flea Market. You can't beat native tomatoes. My husband is Italian and makes his favorite salad which is native tomatoes, fresh mozzarella & fresh garlic and onion. This is a favorite of our family now and it is healthy too! We also make sauce with the tomatoes! The melons are amazingly sweet too. We enjoy our trips to the Flea markets for deals on everything you can imagine. Lots of fun here during the Winter! My photo

Florida definitely is "snowbird heaven." When I visited there the Flea Mkts were a must stop. And like you say there produce is the cream of the crop!

I am also Italian and I love tomatoes, mozzarella olive oil and basil in summer. I grow my tomatoes in the garden, in winter unfortunately I have to buy in the stores. Enjoy your sunny days in Florida.
