My question is what you mean by the ?country? is it the ?people? of your ?country? or is it the ´symbol´ and ´institution´ of your ´country´?... Would you share your opinion?

country is the place where u live.for example india is a country.usa is country .i think u got it by now

The way i see it, there is a differences of being Americans, or being Indians, Indonesians, Malaysians,etc. And the country as an ´institution´ where all the social-political decisions made by the ´administrators´.
Once, Mike Stipe (Vocalist of R.E.M) mentoned in his concert, that not everyone in America is the representative of it´s government. That -I believe- it´s true, and that comment -I think- can be applied to any other countries.
So, Yes -since I knew how is the feeling of being poor and once being the unfortunate one- ofcourse I´d like to serve the people of my country. But that is not necessarily means I loves to serve the politicians, as the ´administrator´ of my country.
I am one of the ´front line´ to keep and constantly reminding the people of my country that they are the ´boss´ of the politicians and the leaders, they´ve choosed. So, there is different points a chunk of lands can be called a ´country´, the people, the administrators, and some area...
To answer your question I say ´yes´ in term of to serve the people...

I would definitely want to serve my country, i feel i am patriotic ,and i guess we all can do our little bit to serve our country.Even simple things can be done, which will make great contibutions for the country, like saving power, savinf fuel, stoping vandalism, etc. this will definitely help us, n also will keep our nation. if i get a chance to serve my country in a big or better n if i am capable of doing it then i will surely do that,till that time i will do my little bits to help my country be better.

A big "YES". I am at the service of My country. I heard an isolated voice here what a country means. I join with the opinion. A country is more than the soil. It is not exclusive of its people. So If you serve the people you serve the country. Or to be more precise. No one serve the country should he forget to serve the people. It would be like keeping the photo of some one's father at home and sending him to the old age home. Many of our politicians and bureaucrats belong to this class. they do not serve the country rather the country serve them literally.
