Noise that made me laugh

Last night I looked out my patio sliding door window to see what it was like out. I could see it was raining outside very hard but not on my patio because it is covered by the deck for the apartment above me. I then walked into the dining room headed to the kitchen to get a cookie! Shame on me, more calories! And I heard this noise that sounded like I had possibly turned my dishwasher on. But I didn't remember doing it. And I am thinking why would I have done that because it was late. I went in the kitchen and the noise got quieter and I looked at the dishwasher and it was not on. Hmmmmm???????? I grabbed the cookie and walked back into the dining room to head to the living room, the noise got louder again. The wind was blowing the rain so hard against that window that it sounded like a motor or machine running! LOL! Iam glad that I wasn't stuck out there in that!
