Can I buy you a drink? Yes, were continuing on with the second half of the music quiz using the word drink in the song title. So, how about some island drinks to warm you up if you happen to be getting a blast of cold weather... This video tune is a departure from my usual classic rock, but the Zac Brown Band does set the tone for these tasty island drinks. Enjoy this island video, I'll be taking a nap in that inviting hammock, Now for our Music Trivia Quiz- Whodunnit? Do you know these songs and artists? 1. The drink in this 70's song title could be considered a Mexican Restaurant staple. This tune has come to symbolize a carefree Caribbean lifestyle, and this artist reflects it in many of his songs. Coming home wasted from a bar, losing a flip-flop on the way from a beer can, and searching for his lost shaker of salt, were some of the themes this artist wrote about in this song. The artist is accompanied by the Coral Reefer Band whose musical instrumentation produces his "Key West" sound. 2. The singer in this 70's tune falls for a woman who just wants to use him and move on. The song, along with many others from this album, formed the basis for a Western theme comparing the life of a cowboy to that of a musician. Surprisingly, this tune was not a big hit for the group, but it's strongly associated with some of the band's other songs which performed well on the music charts. In this song the cowboy is having many shots of this strong Mexican drink reflecting on his lost love until the sun comes up. This group's name is the same as a mighty bird. And musically it fits perfectly! 3. Bonus: That video song has got me to thinking about another island tune with the unusual lyrics: We had it all, Just like Bogie and Bacall. Do you remember the title of this artists only top ten hit from 1981? OK, hope this trivia quiz does not "drive you to drink" but it's time to solve those songs and artists. Remember part of the song title has either a food or drink reference. If your stuck and need additional help just let me know in your response. Or, as the singer Bill Withers might say, "You Can Lean On Me" if you need another clue. As always, thanks for reading and responding to my music post !!!! #1 I don't know if I know the title to this song. However, I see Kermit the Frog singing it with his buddies accompanied by the famous Muppet drummer. I know Key Largo, Montego, baby why don't we go ... and so on and so forth. If that's not this song. Then I'm way off course. Margaritaville? #2 Is the group's name the Eagles? I don't know the song. Bonus - No idea.

1. Buffett said it took him 20 minutes to write that. Sounds like it. I did a countdown so I’m obviously a fan of JB, but not necessarily of that song. Maybe I’ve heard it too much and “Hr Went to Paris” not enough. 2. “Take another shot of courage”! Which reminds me, why are you trying to buy this old sailor a drink???

When my "ship" comes in time to buy the house a drink...even old sailors like you! Of course, I'm still waiting for that ship, so those drinks are on hold Perhaps some "Boat Drinks" might taste better to this Pirate than those Margaritas
