Childhood Boogie Men!

Alright, you see the picture up there.
I was roaming around minding mine. When I catch a glimpse of this fierce fella. And I'm reminded of my childhood horror, The Updog. Lord I can still hear my sisters warning me to be good or the Updog will get me. Ah, siblings, you gotta love em.
No one in the family can remember where it came from or why I was so horrified by it but this picture is like exactly what I can remember it looking like. A demon hound made out of sticks with glowing red eyes.
But I'm not unique in this as far as my family is concerned. My younger sister and brother had their own boogie men. Why didn't we get the average imaginary friend?
Is this just me or has anyone else had one of these more ominous imaginary scaries?

omg, that too had to have been terrifying. I can't ever remember actually seeing it. But I must have seen something like this in a movie, on a book cover, or a poster.
A few years back my sister found the movie The Village by M. Night Shyamalan. But the creatures in it came along long after I grew up.

Thank heavens I have never seen anything like that in the picture before. I guess everyone has their own monsters in the closet so to speak.
