How cold is it where you live?

I love winter and autumn. I wait the entire year only for this season to come. It makes me happy and make me admire the nature more than I ever do.
Unfortunately it never snows where I live and we hardly end up 8 degree coldest in winter. I always dreamt of living in a log cabin with fire place and cosy beds. I love snow so much and I have only seen snow on the ground(which I must say old block of ice) once when I visited my friends who live up north in my country.
It may sound funny but my only dream is to visit a place covered with snow, watch snowfall on Christmas Day. I will admire the nature all the time I am there.
Do you love snow and winter more or hot summers? I hate summers. But I simply love sunsets on cold winter evenings.

hello and cheers! i am in japan.. normally february is the coldest here but nowadays the weather is better than last year! i think global warming is changing everything..

Here it is the winter. It won't snow here at all but sometimes the feeling can be very cold since it is moist. I am glad that this year seems to be a warm year and there are no more very cold days during winter. Today it is 13-18 centigrades but tomorrow it will be up to 22 centigrades already. Besides it is sunny and therefore the feeling is well. Once it rains here, the feeling can be very cold.

It does not sound funny. There are some that have never seen snow and would love to see it. I grew up with lots of snow and lots of hard weather so I am glad to have left that behind. In Jerusalem we have got snow but not always. Sounds like a lovely dream you have. I love spring and summer seasons. I grew up with long winters and it seemed like they would never end so grew to hate winter.

I know what you mean. Snow can bring so much brightness in winter too! Normal temperature here is -10 in winter, but it`s been quite mild this year which has caused the weather to alternate between snow and rain a lot. Something quite striking to see though, is large puddles of rainwater on top of frozen lakes :-)
