Favorite Places to Visit

Good morning/evening everybody! For me a new day has begun and I woke up feeling like I need a vacation.
I love any type of outing. Weather it's just visiting a little town I've never known or big cities (mostly within my country for now).
I love the beach of the smell of pine trees in the woods. I love the snow and the winter.
Besides getting to know more places in my country I would also love to travel to Rome some day. I love Italian food, their history and their country side.
What are the places you dream of visiting or what are your favorite places you have visited?

I have a condo on the beach, because I can’t stand winter. Lol!
I’ve traveled the world back and forth many times with hubs, and to Italy a few times. We loved every place we visited, but would love to visit Antarctica next.

Thank you! It's marvelous that you've been able to travel the world. I hope I can see a few places at least before I die. I can't stand hot humid weather for a permanent stay. I've lived in the tropical part of Mexico, along the Gulf of Mexico and the weather there is too much for me XD. I also lived for a while in southern California, near the beach and I loved it. Weather there is perfect for me.

@EleonorRigby I’ve been to both Mexico and Southern California many times. I think I’m a Florida and California girl at heart, although I still have a house in Connecticut. As long as I have a/c or a breeze off the water, I’m happy. I absolutely can’t stand the snow, ice, sleet, and freezing winds anymore.
Don’t forget I’m older than you and didn’t start traveling until my kids were out of college.

I would love to visit Australia despite the terrible bush fires they have had recently. I have cousins there who said I can stay so maybe one day. It is so cold in the UK at the moment so I would love to visit somewhere warm.

@EleonorRigby It's strange how we always want what we don't have. I would love to move to a warm climate. Many retired people here move to Spain because the cold weather affects their joints and gives them arthritis.

@MALUSE I would never actually do it as I know I would miss my family but I saw a programme about a retired couple who had moved to Spain and they loved their life. I suppose you can't always believe what you see or read and to be honest I am not good in intense heat, but I suppose it works for some.

I would love to visit the UK one day. I love cold weather. I have lived in the tropical part of my country and humid warm weather is not for me. I mean, for me to live in permanently.

I love winter and snow too. Cold harsh weather and log cabin with fire place is a vacation for me.
I have so many places on my mind where I want to visit.
They are Zermatt in Switzerland, Tuscany and Istanbul too. There are many places but my empty pockets are only worth of dreaming.
I do visit nearby places when I have some time.

I have only see these place in pictures and yes, they are beautiful! I would also love to visit Naples just to have a taste of a real Italian pizza.

I love wildlife parks as well but not capturing animals. They are best off living their lives as close to normal as possible.

There are so many places I'd like to visit that I've never been. There is a town quite local to me that I like to visit when I can (which is usually once every few years), and I love to visit Weston-super-Mare, which is a little seaside town but not too touristy! Last year, I visited the Spanish island of Mallorca (it was my first time out of the UK) and I would like to go there again as well as other countries.
Our next plans are likely to include Liverpool (which is near to where my eldest son is at university), Hastings (where our daughters and granddaughters live), Weston-super-Mare (because we like it). Outside of the UK, we'd like to go to Netherlands and Japan.
