Good Thursday Morning & Daily Health Report - January 22

Okay, I was all set to go to the pool this morning until I turned on the weather report. Icy roads and snow. Now, you know I don't mind snow, but snow and icy roads at 4:30 in the morning is not a good combination. I just messaged my friend for rock painting and she said if you take it slow, the roads are okay. I'm staying home. It's still snowing and will be on and off for the rest of the day and tomorrow. We're also supposed to get snow on Saturday, but I didn't see the report on that. I have the notifications finished for the moment and I'm going to get breakfast and the pot roast started. I want pot roast today. Before I do that let me give you yesterday's numbers. Breakfast - Banana, fig, eggs, potato, turkey bacon. Calories - 518 Sugar: - 24.3 Carbs: 61.6 Protein: 24.6 Sodium: 411 Fat: 17.4 Snack - Chocolate Bar Calories: 120 Sugar: 8 Carbs: 20 Protein: 2 Sodium: 30 Fat: 4 Lunch/Dinner - Eggs, cubed steak, potato w/dairy-free sour cream, banana Calories: 787.5 Sugar: 18.25 Carbs: 42.25 Protein: 55.55 Sodium: 432.25 Fat: 44.15 The difference between breakfast and dinner is the number of eggs I had for dinner - 5 versus my normal 3 for breakfast. Eggs are 70 calories and sodium each. Yesterday's totals Calories: 1425.5 Sugar: 50.55 Carbs: 123.85 Protein: 82.15 Sodium: 873.25 Fat: 65.55 Calories burned - Steps - 5210 - 320 Total calories - 1105.5 I was determined to get my steps in before bed and got them in while I watched TV. You’re smart to stay off the icy roads. I would, too. Lucky you to have your notifications finished. I was done when I went to bed, but am always happy to see more when I wake up.

@just4him I only went for a walk and cleaned. So far, I’ve only had a cup of coffee, but that filled me up. I’m not much of a breakfast eater. I’m sure you will have plenty of time to work on your book today.

@DianneN Cleaning, as I've realized, is exercise. I keep wanting a cup of tea but forget to make it. My breakfast is a little bigger than my last meal, lunch/dinner. I've noticed you have larger evening meals. So, it all balances out. Yes, I do. I'm going to polish off these few notifications and get to my book. I want to get a lot done on it today.

Yes, the plows are going by often. It's still snowing. You know I like that. I'll watch it from inside instead of driving. I love having them done early so I can get to my book. Right now, my stomach is demanding nourishment.

@just4him Exercise alone won't work, but the combination of a healthy diet+exercise is the best choice for good health!

I remember 2 1/2 years ago I went 3 months without eating fattening food or sugar drinks which are my favorite. I did go to do exercise for those months as a daily routine as well but as soon as that 29 days turned to 30, I went back to my old routine.....lol I went to this depression who knows if it was because I wasn't in-taking food my body is used to or because of my next decade years old lol...that year I turned 30 maybe because of body changing....anyway, so yesterday if I were to go back to eating or watching what I eat, yesterday wouldn't be the best day to do it since I went to a all yo can eat pizza with my cousin, her kid and her boyfriend lol....shakeys lol and I ate like I really ate lol.

Some diets are hard to stick with. I've been on this diet for 2.5 years and I'm doing well on it.

so you are trying to gain weight? I wish I could get more down. I have to make myself eat more then one stomach won't let me easily. I feel stuffed if I force down 2. Wish I could exercise as well as you do though. You are really doing well at that

No, not gain, lose. I have roughly 90 pounds to go yet before I get to my goal weight. Thank you. Is there something you can do to try to gain weight?

Yesterday I fixed a chuck roast with onion and garlic in the sloww cooker letting it simmer mot of the day adding some flourwater at the end to thicken up the juices from the roast. I had that over some rice and served sweet peas. It turned out pretty good sis said.

@just4him yes...when i was on a weight losing spree the only thing which i had on my mind was losing weight no matter what and completing my steps even if i had to keep walking in my room

I had a good day food wise but didn't get in as many steps as I had wanted. Good thing you didn't decide to go out on those icy roads. Driving in those conditions scare me
