Weird weather ....

hi  folks  we are having some strange weather... not as bad as some folks I know... but,  we are having un usual amounts of high winds and some accompanying rain... I feel sorry for those that have come here on holiday,  looking for some winter sun...  it's  hiding behind dark clouds and when it does appear the winds carry it's  warmth away ....  bbbrrrrrr the pictures above are of some of the damage done to our award winning beach... it used to be spotless, pristine white sand... but now... a lot of sand has been washed away... there is tonnes of seaweed on the beach... the foot showers seem to be suspended in mid air as the sand has been washed away from underneath them...exposing the pipework .. and in the middle picture on the top row you can see how much sand has been lost, moved and displaced... all the palm trees roots are exposed.... and some even fell down... dustbins blown over or their bags turned inside out... and their contents blown all over the beach and surrounding streets.... it looks a sorry state...  the towns council are not very happy because of  the cost to get the beach back to a high standard  ready for their 'season' which starts at easter...  and someone said there is another storm on it's  way for  sunday... hope not... but we'll  soon see...
