India wins, 1st T-20 International cricket match against New zealand by 6 wickets played at Auckland, New Zealand. With this win India goes 1up in 5 match T-20I series. Put in to bat by India after winning the toss, New Zealand amassed 203 runs in allotted 20 overs. Munro, Williamson and Taylor all getting half centuries. India in their innings, despite loosing Rohit Sharma early at the score of 16 managed to achieve the target with one over to spare. Excellent performance by Shreyas Iyar, K. L. Rahul and Virat Kohli made it possible. The team India has given itself an excellent start to the long tour of New Zealand, which include 5 T-20Is, 3 ODIs and 2 test matches.
