Work From Home Site - Leary About The Sign Up Process

Like many of you, I keep an eye out for other work from home earning sites. Though I have more than what I can handle right now, there could come a time when I want to change things up.
So I was looking into a site recently and decided to just check out the sign up process. I wanted to see how easy it was to register for an account.
The site pays by Paypal so that's good. Rather than allowing me to register with my Paypal email address, I have to actually log into my Paypal account right on the site.
I don't remember having to do that on other sites. I'm concerned about privacy and protecting my personal information. Here is a site that is requiring me to access my Paypal account using my log in password.
Have any of you ever done something like that? I'm fine with an email address but I don't like the idea of having my password entered on the site itself. I know that they say everything is password protected but...
What are your thoughts on this?

Thanks Dianne, I agree. The fact that members have to register with their paypal account and access their account using their password right on the earning site itself raised a big red flag. I'm not going there at all.

@DianneN Thank you. Life has enough problems without the possibility of opening a cyber door for some hacker to mess things up.

Have you done it before or you are trying it the first time?

I have never done this type of thing before. The sign up process was a first and I didn't want to proceed. Also the opportunity was one that is new to me. I really don't think I'll be looking into it any further.

@ExplorewtMe Thanks, I can assure you that I will not be doing that at all. It doesn't matter how interesting the site may be, it is not worth it.

@betlynfrnds You should not enter your PayPal I'd and password in any other sites. What ever may be their claim. Stay aware and stay safe.

Hmm, not sure about the site I would read a number of reviews online before I signed up.

I agree. The site was very well spoken of from a youtube video. I had heard of the site before but never checked it out. After seeing the video my curiosity was peaked. After I realized that I had to jump through some scary hoops in order to register, I hesitated. After giving it more thought, I have decided that it's not worth it for me. I have other trusted sites that I've been a member of, including myLot.

No I sure didn't. The more I thought about it, the further away I went from the site.

Thanks, I've never had any problems at all with any of the sites I'm a member of. With this platform having a different set up, I never felt comfortable with it.

Now that may be a different circumstance altogether. When using paypal to make payments, I suppose that there is a different criteria to follow. I don't use paypal to make payments, only to receive cash from my earning sites.

@betlynfrnds I prefer to use PayPal sending payment than using any of my debit cards. I feel it's aafer.

@wittynet Now that you mention it, I have noticed that PayPal is getting more popular as an all around payment processor for many online companies.
I'm a distributor for a vitamin and personal care online company. Just recently, about a week ago, they have added PayPal as an option for payment.
And, yes, I do believe there is a bigger measure of safety with PayPal over debit cards.

You know what's funny? I don't even remember what site I was referring to. It's been 2 months since I wrote this post and so much has happened since then. My attention and focus has been elsewhere.
What I do know is that I just joined a site a few days ago where the sign up process was a cinch. I was ready to go in less than 2 minutes. I've already made one cash out. If I do recall the site's name I will let you know.

@wittynet Thank you very much. I am doing quite well on my sites. My husband and I are doing well, thanks. I hope you and your family are fine.

@betlynfrnds it's okay. I was just curious.
I hope you're doing well in other sites.
Take care, and keep safe.

I have never saved PayPal account signing details on my PC. I cannot say if it is safe enough.

I've never saved my account information either to the very best of my knowledge. I don't understand why that has to be done.

Thank you for you input. In all of the years that I've been signing up for different websites, I don't ever remember one requesting such sensitive information. Too many things can go wrong with that type of a set up.

I have had a few paypal scammers so be careful. If you feel uneasy about something don't do it!

Thanks. I'm sorry to hear that you were scammed. I've had too many very good experiences with reputable companies to know what what it's like to have a bad feeling about something.

It doesn't sound like a site I would want to work with.

Myself, I would never join this site. It's not necessary for them to have your password, to access PayPal. That's private information, that should never be shared with anyone.

I have been a member of many sites over the years and have never had one issue as far as privacy is concerned. There was no way that I was going to continue with that set up.

@betlynfrnds And you made a very wise decision, not to give them private information.

Thank you for the great tip. I would have done that if I actually went through the sign up process.
Thankfully I did not so I never had a problem.
