Colloidal Silver- Effective Against Infection?

I have seen bottles of colloidal silver in our local health store and several years ago used it in conjunction with an antibiotic for a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection). I also used the antibiotics (but not all of them as they make me sick) plus pure cranberry juice mixed with water at that time. The infection did wane and then go away. To this day I don't know which of the treatments helped me but wonder as I may have another UTI. At least all the same symptoms are there. I'm debating whether to go ahead with the cranberry and silver drops first before going to a doctor. Have any of you ever used colloidal silver drops for any ailment? And how did it work?

Colloidal silver is forbidden here for the many side effect, the most common is argyria, a bluish-gray discoloration of the skin, which is usually permanent.

I have heard of that Anna but used very little and only for the recommended time. I am always very careful with unknown things. But my hair did turn gray for some strange reason---lol! haha!

Please don’t use the colloidal silver. The risks outweigh the benefits and could be dangerous. I’ve only read about it, but never saw it sold in the US. I’d head straight to my doctor.

I've seen them for awhile in health stores and yes I would be wary of taking too much or for too long.

Cranberry juice is supposed to be very effective for UTI infections. My father had an infection when he had a knee replacement and eventually they used some sort of silver treatment on that. They put off using it because it was so expensive so maybe it was a bit different to colloidal silver.

It is an antibiotic but it purports to be best for use with upper respiratory infections/ailments.
