Updating on my elderly neighbors that had the ambulances a couple of weeks ago at their home. She is 86 and her husband is 90. The ambulance was for him. He had chest pain and is now in a nursing home.
His wife is recovering from surgery she had in December and is not doing well. She remains hospitalized. This is why he had to go to a nursing home. Not sure if it will be permanent. It is a day to day process. Depends on how well she recovers.
Many of you have been kind enough to ask about them. I finally talked to a daughter yesterday and she is running back and for the to two facilities to see about them. Of course I offered to help in any way I could. She thanked me.
You never know curveballs life will throw your way. Enjoy the moments.
While watching television last night, I kept hearing sirens in the distance. Then they all stopped at once. I got up to see if there was anything going on...

I hope there is some way that they can be together and still maintain their health.

I am sorry the wife is not doing well. The daughter must be very exhausted going back and forth. I hope the wife recovers nicely so they can be together again and he does not have to stay in the Nursing Home. Thank you for updating us on what is going on with them.

Aw, i'm so sorry for the both of them. I hope she'll get better and will be able to go home, as long as she's able to take care of herself, at her age.

I hope this isn't a permanent solution. It's tough when you can't live in your home anymore. I worry constantly that something will happen to my husband.
