It’s a Popcorn Kind of Day, but That Will Not Be Happening

After a day two days of sunshine and an afternoon of sailing on a friend’s sailboat, it is cloudy and temperate here in Florida.
As much as I would love a bowl of popcorn and a good book, it will have to wait.
We made plans to see the Rembrandt exhibit at a museum with my brother and sister-in-law before it leaves town. My brother is driving and wants to show us a shopping area in another town in an area where Dr. Jay, a lunatic former neighbor now lives.
Afterwards, we will go out for dinner together.
What else can one do on a cloudy Monday?

It's a cloudy day here too so I'll be curling up with my book this afternoon while you are out gallivanting

@YrNemo Save yourself the trouble, Darcy. He’s not worth it.
He abused our friendship by driving our car all over Florida and letting his niece stay in or condo while we were up north. He never asked our permission. Thank goodness friends called to let us know.

I am now doing things in too sunny and hot days. This is the warmest summer that I have memory of. I went to several exhibits of Rembrandt paintings many decades ago. He was a great fan, but I found everything too dark. I was happier when he took me to another one of his loves, Pieter Brueghel. Him, I could understand
I won´t do much today. I will wait until my eldest grandson is out of the way. He parts tonight.

@DianneN I enjoyed my day mainly because I won´t have my hippie grandson at home for over a month. He also took some of his belongings to his place in the south. I hope that that will be on a permanent basis.

Most of the exhibits were of his etchings. We almost bought one on a trip to Hawaii. I can kick my husband for turning it down! We’ve seen many of Rembrandt’s works in many museums on our travels. He’s not my favorite, but I do appreciate his style and work. Three personal paintings were on loan from a private collector today. Two I loved!

Oh yes, go enjoy the opportunity to see Rembrandt with family! I remember that weenie Dr. Jay - I sure hope you don't see him while you're out there. So funny how the weather can flip flop - today seems it will be sunny for us!

Thanks! I’m so excited to see this exhibition.
Dr. Jay is a weenie and much more. Oh, grrrrr to him. He texted us some crazies the day we arrived. Of course we never answer him.

You are not alone it has been pouring with rain this afternoon although it was fairly sunny for a while this morning,. As for popcorn you can have my share I detest it!
